Description

Role: CAD/Mechanical Technician.

This is a real mix of hands on build work, CAD drawing and basic design work. This will be a varied role and a flexible approach to duties will be vital.

Duties:

  • Provide CAD drawings and other design and manufacturing computer files suitable for the manufacture of snake-arm robots, industrial robots, tools, test rigs, sensors and other hardware (collectively hardware)
  • Ensure all drawings are suitable for manufacture and convey all relevant design information as briefed by a member of the mechanical design team
  • Ensure design drawings take into account materials, process, and assembly requirements to keep cost to a minimum and quality of product to a maximum
  • Build, commission and prepare for shipping new products.

    • Key Qualifications:

  • Engineering or technically based education with appropriate HND or degree level qualification.
  • Experienced in CAD design. We do not have a preference to the package.
  • This is a junior role and therefore 1 to 2 years engineering experience will be sufficient.
