Our Client are one of the Major players in today's Mobile telecoms market.
We currently have exciting opportunities for Installation & Commissioning Engineers to join our growing engineering project teams. We are looking for 6 new teams; each team needs a lead engineer and a 2nd Engineer. The project you will be working on is an LTE upgrade project. If you have electrical experience this would be an advantage for this project however not essential.
The Main Purpose of the Job:
Lead Engineer
- To Lead with the installation & commissioning of telecoms equipment within the BTS, including minor DC power work, in equipment rooms or out on site in accordance with the design documentation provided within the scope of the skills and training received.
- Completing detailed site surveys with extreme attention to detail
- To take full responsibility for the complete installation and test where required, including ensuring all documentation is completed, including any changes or amendments to the site documents.
- Managing the 2nd Man in the team
- Provide reports on the work completed to the project engineer.
- Carry out all work in accordance with the company Quality procedures.
- Work safely at all times in accordance with the company's Health and Safety Arrangements.
- The Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring all equipment issued is kept in good working order maintaining calibration and test date.
Essential Skills
- Hands on experience of installation and commissioning NSN BTS equipment
- LTE Upgrade experience would be beneficial
- Electrical experience would be an advantage but not essential
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Good technical background with a solid understanding of mobile projects
- The ability to analyse & understand project constraints and dependency's including success criteria and business benefits
- Quickly identify project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions and feed these back to the project
- Apply a competent risk management process and quality management process
