SIM Card and SIM Software Consultant

An excellent opportunity with one of the worlds leading automotive, PC and telecommunications companies.This role will be responsible for looking after all SIM card profiles for testing including related network settings to make sure that all product delivered for testing or for production meets the expected quality standard. Preparation and testing of the product is key.

Responsibilities

  • Create test specifications and test reports for (e)SIM projects based on project scope and definition.
  • Set in place QA process and help streamline existing process. Creation of test tools aimed at improving/automate testing.
  • QA testing for BAP (e)SIM and target device hardware. Testing with Network Simulators, development/production hardware, perform firmware and software updates, track device and SIM changes.
  • Set-up, perform and monitor OTA updates (approx. 50% of workload for first 6 to 8 months).
  • Support client testing and various teams for (e)SIM actions/queries.
  • Investigating internal and customer SIM related issues in Issue Tracking System.
  • Providing technical expertise to external teams and clients.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years working experience in Smartcard environment or in telecommunication with strong test and QA background
  • Knowledge of ETSI/3GPP Smartcard/(U)SIM specifications, OTA, ISO 7816, 3GPP/ETSI UE/ME specifications and RAN understanding.
  • Knowledge of Global Platform 2.2.1 and remote SIM provisioning technologies, including GSMA SGP.02 & SGP.11/SGP.21 & SGP.22.
  • Knowledge of AT command set and on-hands experience with modem testing.
  • Hands on experience with debugging and analysing SIM-ME traces with Comprion-like tools.
