Citrix Specialist required for a 6-month contract based in Dublin 6
The Citrix consultant will be responsible for developing, designing and implementing a Citrix based environment which provides Remote Researchers access to my clients data using a suite of analysis tools.
Experience Level: Intermediate (4-6 years)
Start Date: 30th October 2017, or ASAP thereafter
Your day to day duties will include supporting Service desk requests from remote workers, adding new software functionality for deployment via a virtual desktop, monitoring loads on the Citrix environment and taking remedial action if required.
The successful candidate will be reporting to a member of the in-house Citrix support team and will act as mentor in providing knowledge transfer to the whole team.
Extensive experience of configuring Netscaler, XenApp, Xen Desktop, Storefront & XenMobile
Proven VMware and Windows virtualisation expertise
Extensive working knowledge of supporting tools such as RES, EG or Control Up, or equivalent, that assist in estate administration
Good understanding and working knowledge of replication, mirroring, security, compression, traffic analysis, process automation, storage/back-up, software provisioning and related techniques
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Citrix and VMware
Ability to consult and present with all levels of staff
The minimum mandatory requirements for this role include the following:
6+ years' experience of administering a Citrix environment.
4+ years' experience working with replication, mirroring, security, compression, traffic analysis, process automation, storage/back-up provisioning and related techniques.
4+ years' experience of working with HA network infrastructures.
4+ years' experience in software provisioning and image building in a Virtual Environment
