Infrastructure Architect - Network
A European agency based in Brussels are looking for an Infrastructure Architect for a 6-month initial contract. The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the technical coordination of the infrastructure related activities of various projects with a focus on the area of networking and network security with availability and continuity as first operational priorities.
Infrastructure Architect - Network - Responsibilities
- Participate to the evolution of the agencies IT Infrastructure
- Designs infrastructure based on the requirements exposed in the workplan or expressed by the system owners and/or project managers
- Ensures that infrastructure requirements are expressed in line with the standards of the European agency
- Participate to the drafting or review of proposals for IT architecture governance and organisational evolution, aiming at improving the service delivery and to streamline technical activities
- Review, investigate and recommend IT solutions (including cost/benefit analyses, assessment of implementation's duration)
- Contributes & evaluate technical solutions proposed by the client's contractors
- Follow up infrastructure projects to control that the systems, components and/or services' implementation stick to the approved design.
- Understand, apply and suggest improvements of the client's methodology, security policies, tools, best practices, etc.
- Oversee the Incident and Problem Management processes and activities, critically evaluating the contractors' operations, proposing improvements and bringing its technical expertise
- You will participate in Change Management processes and provide valuable contribution in the impact assessment and in the validation phase
- Ensure smooth execution of project test and release processes, proactively proposes improvements and record them in a CSIP perspective
