Internal Communications Executive/Birmingham/4 Months Contract/£240 (Per Day)

Accountabilities

  • Manage the client's internal communications plan including full channel management, content, metrics and insight; developing our peoples' understanding and awareness of where our client's business is going and how we're going to get there.
  • Support the engagement initiatives across the client's business division, linking in with business area leads to support their ongoing engagement approach whilst identifying and driving improvement activity.
  • Proactively build excellent stakeholder relations and an effective internal network to seek out news, business updates and success stories. Lead and manage assigned projects as required.
  • Manage the communication to our Birmingham colleagues, encompassing all staff within the site.
  • Manage the client's Intranet site and all other appropriate channels (including our face-to-face channels such as Leadership briefings), to inform, educate and engage our audiences across the client's locations.
  • Ensure all content is relevant and timely. Effectively implement initiatives to maximise client's exposure in internal communications of the Group such as the Loop, and co-ordinate Group communications and initiatives within our own communications programme.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and third party suppliers to ensure timely and effective delivery of communications activities as required; monitoring usage of applicable budget.
  • Develop all communications in line with best business practice, organisational tone of voice and brand guidelines and ensure they have followed the correct approvals process prior to release.
  • Work in line with our Employee Communications Manager for organisational Insurance to ensure that (where necessary) any relevant messaging for both clients' audiences are consistent, maximise synergies and minimise duplication across the two divisions.

Skills and Experience

  • Broad understanding of different media, audiences and their needs for effective communications.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles to suit the audience and messaging.
  • Experience of delivering multi-channel communications within a multi-site environment, to inform, engage and inspire.
  • Experience of developing and delivering engagement strategies which link into the divisional strategic objectives
  • Experience in managing communications programmes including: large-scale events, and internal communications/campaigns
  • Excellent project planning and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interpret complex information.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
