Materials Expert
Amoria Bond are recruiting for a Materials Expert who can join a successful telecommunications organisation based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be experienced in the telecoms industry, specifically Fiber Material Management and Planning.
The core purpose of this to be responsible for the type approval testing, OSP materials standardization, auditing and their related work procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of material complaints from other parties: contractors, client, etc.
- Conduct market analysis/benchmarking to keep client's awareness on International OSP materials evolution, propose suitable materials for client's network evolution
- Evaluate availability of materials with suppliers to best fit client's deployment plan
- Update and maintain the standardized materials documentation including installation and operation procedures.
- With the support of client's Management, create and drive the functions of OSP Test LAB.
- Evaluate financial benefits of new standardized materials to reduce CAPEX and OPEX spending.
- Manufacturers SPOC for Type approvals.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Good knowledge of all aspects of the OSP network (Standards, Guidelines, procedures, technologies, equipment, tools etc) for planning, design and implementation.
- Experience with an OSP Materials manufacturer in the technical field (R&D, product development, etc. is preferred).
- In depth knowledge of FTTx solutions and architecture, GPON as well as PtP.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, Arabic language would be an advantage.
