Job Description:
Summary: The Tech Center Specialist plays a crucial, hands?on role in providing technical support and education to both scientists and administrators. This role is responsible for providing day?to?day support of IT devices (PCs, Macs, and mobile devices), infrastructure, and applications. In addition to providing local, hands?on technicalSupport to personnel within their area, the Technician must build and maintain strong working relationships with users and other support personnel.

Major Accountabilities:
- Provide high?quality, friendly, proactive support and education services to all NIBR users within a Tech Center location.
- Responsible for installing and configuring desktop software and peripherals.
- Partner effectively with IT resources to provide reliable end?to?end IT service delivery.
- Perform trending and continuous improvement analysis within areas of responsibility.
- Record problem and resolution details in the ticketing system.
- Provide end user training with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.

Required Skills:
- Experience in Network Architecture. (Minimum 6 Years)
- Experience in System Design. (Minimum 6 Years)
- Experience in supporting global IT desktop and lab services including configuration, patching and diagnosis of server/desktop/PC systems, Mac Systems, and Mobile Devices (e.g: iPhone, iPad, Android).
- Strong knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot MS Win 7/10, MS Office, Adobe, Modern Browsers, Internal Applications, and more.
- Experience in troubleshooting OS X Mountain Lion / Mavericks, MS Office Mac, Adobe, Safari, Parallels, Keychain, and other iOS related issues.
- Proven ability to educate end users on device and application capabilities.

Nice to have:
- Professional certifications (MCSE, Cisco, CompTIA A+/Net+, ACMT) a plus.
- Experience as a class room trainer a plus.
- German Language skills.

Education: Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent.

Languages: Fluent in English language.
