Senior Technical Test engineer - Dublin contract 6-12 Months.
My client a leading name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Test Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
Technical tester tasks will be to Attend workshops and 3 amigos sessions, You will be writing feature files,preparing test data using bank interfaces, liaising with other departments to help in data prep,You will Review simple step definitions in JS, or at least review final feature files for amendments and comment-outs. You will be expected to Review results of execution of Acceptance tests in Jenkins, Raise issues with Development if tests need fixing, selenium grid needs restart or alike. You will Create definitions of manual tests in JIRA for tests which cannot be automated, execute manual tests and log results in JIRA. You will Conduct Exploratory tests when the feature is delivered during the sprint as well as E2E tests in the end of the release when all features are delivered, log defects in JIRA and verify fixes.) Read WebSphere logs, understand troubleshooting processes, nail down the cause of the issue as best as possible
Successful candidates will have
Knowledge of BDD, experience with creating manual and automated test case scenarios, attention to details, knowledge of banking terms is a benefit, knowledge of my client processes and Back End systems is a huge benefit. You will have an Understanding of Cucumber, Gherkin principles of writing a feature file, knowledge of GIT, JIRA, IDE like IntelliJ.) You will have experience with simple SQL querying - Select, Update, Delete statements, experience with SQL tools like SQL Plus or Squirrel SQL, ability to read and understand logs, understanding of simple XML structures. Former knowledge/experience with JS, a course if JS is enough, no need for active coding skills, knowledge of JS automation framework is a plus but not mandatory. You will have Experience with Jenkins, ability to troubleshoot and raise issues with Development.
