We have an job opening for IBM Sterling Connect: Direct Consultant with our client and the details are as below:
Work Location: Radbroke, Cheshire,UK
Duration: 6 months Extendable
Job Type: Contract
Primary Skills:
- Should know Architecture & Server components of Connect Direct in various platforms.
- CD Installations, Upgradations, Configurations, Secure+ and basic Connect Direct commands.
- Connect Direct Cluster configuration in UNIX and Windows.
- Analyze and interpret Connect Direct file transfer issues.
- Experience with CD on Mainframe will be a plus.
- Understanding of Monitoring tool Sterling File Gateway and File Agent Concepts will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge about following infrastructure platforms is required:
1. UNIX with Shell Scripting skills and basic administrative skills
2. Windows with Scripting skills and basic administrative skills
Competencies:
- Experience of working in a change delivery, Incident and Problem Management, Live environment support of Middleware components
- Ability to understand, implement and influence security concepts and solutions of Middleware components
- Ability to understand and influence high level technical design of Middleware components
- Software maintenance and patching
- Analytical ability including root cause identification and pro-active service improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven team worker/team player
