Description
Virtualisation Specialist required for a 6month contract based in Cork.
This successful candidate will work with the existing Virtualisation Team to develop a coherent infrastructure and to implement cross-site Disaster Recovery and Load-Balancing capabilities with a view to suitability for future cloud deployment.
The day to day duties will also involve dealing with service desk requests where appropriate, monitoring resource utilisation on the VMWare environment, evangelising virtualisation.
Extensive experience of working with VMWare ESXi
Extensive working knowledge of replication and security tools (eg NSX, SRM)
Extensive experience in design, planning and implementation with VMWare
Extensive experience with cloud based deployments
Ability to consult and present with all levels of IT personnel
Ability to provide structured knowledge transfer
5+ years' experience in VMware ESXi - multi-site and DR
4+ years' experience working with replication, mirroring, security, traffic analysis.
3+ years' experience in cloud deployments
