Be an integral part of this Transport project team who are tasked with delivering multiple projects for an initial 6 months but definitely longer term.We are seeking Electrical Engineers specialising in Earthing and Bonding design ideally within Rail. If no Rail experience, Utility experience would be an advantage.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide earthing and bonding technical expertise and design solutions, from concept to detailed design, including assisting with provision of post design support. Produce electrical designs and provide engineering services and support to maintenance and projects.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide earthing and bonding technical expertise and design solutions, from concept to detailed design, including assisting with provision of post design support. Produce electrical designs and provide engineering services and support to maintenance and projects.
You will also assist with the production of complex multi discipline design projects and provide best practice engineering advice and services to the organisation and external clients in order to maximise the safety and reliability of relevant electrical systems infrastructure and assets throughout the asset life cycle.
Ideally you will have experience with CDEGS software experience or other relevant industry standard software.
Skills and experience required for the position are;
Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, holds earthing and bonding design competency and experience in earthing and bonding in traction environment.
Knowledge of relevant codes of practice, relevant standards including legislation associated with earthing, bonding and lightning protection.
Demonstrated understanding and application of risk assessment; design principles for hazard controls and engineering decision logic that affect safety, reliability and lowest life cycle cost of design alternatives of earthing systems.
Demonstrated extensive experience in design, installation & testing of interconnected and standalone earthing systems associated with substations, HV aerial and cable networks and associated lightning protection.
Knowledge and experience with dc traction system earthing including stray current mitigation methods.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of engineering software such as CDEGS, CAD and Microsoft excel.
Demonstrated experience in communication skills and stakeholder and client management.
High level conceptual, planning, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability
