Network Engineer
Job Description:
The Network and Telecom Engineer handles all network and telecom incidents. He/She is also responsible for implementing standard changes (MAC: Move, Add, Change). The network engineer will proactively monitor and manage the corporate network and telecom infrastructure. Occasionally the network engineer will also implement and manage small projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Incident Management
- Configuration Management
- Service Level Management (SLM), ticketing, follow-up and escalation to suppliers
- Change management
- Documentation, procedures and work instructions
Technical skills:
- Cabling knowledge: copper and fiber technologies
- Telecom provider knowledge: pstn, ISDN, PRA, Xdsl.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Network experience: Routers and Switches, preferably CISCO ( catalyst Switches/Routers, wireless controllers and access points, Nexus, ..)
- Experience with telephony systems (PBX, Digital, DECT, IP), preferably Alcatel
- Experience with video conferencing systems preferably Polycom (VBP, DMA, RMX, HDX series )
- ITIL
- Microsoft Office: word, excell, access, Powerpoint, visio
- Knowledge of Sever technology (Microsoft, linux, hyper V, ..) is a plus.
- Languages: French, Dutch and English.
