Apollo Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Storage System Engineer in Prague for up to 12 months.
Essential Requirements:
+ More than 6 years of IT experience - as Storage Expert
+ Strong experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including fail-over techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning.
+ Experience in a technical lead role for small- or medium-size teams
+ Strong practical installation and administration skills with various storage products (Hitachi, SAP HANA, VNX, VMAX, VPLEX, VNXe, DataDomain, RecoverPoint)
+ Good understanding of Virtualization (VMware)
+ Basic knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) through experience or certification.
+ English (written and spoken) required
Key Responsibilities:
+ Be able to perform configuration changes to cloud storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, SDS)
+ You will be a Storage Expert
+ Proactive capacity monitoring and remediation
+ Co-ordinate with Quality Managers to ensure that all required processes and procedures are followed and deviations/exception are documented properly.
+ Provide technical expertise for planning and defining upgrade requirements: perform feasibility and performance studies including benchmark, capacity planning, and sizing of server architecture.
+ Create new system recommendations to meet user needs, including the system configurations and installation planning.
+ Provide technical recommendations regarding Cloud computing: specifically automation and self service related tool-sets.
+ Report major outages, service interruptions, and service failures to the user community and assist in the analysis of the interruptions when they occur.
+ Manage Security rights and privileges to ensure access control is configured to maximize resource output while maintaining the best level of security possible.
+ Provide technical leadership to third party vendors and project teams.
