Electronic Technician - Manufacturing, Test, Assembly, MoD - South Wales - Contract

We have an excellent opportunity for a Electronic Manufacturing Technician! This is a Contract role based in South Wales and the ideal candidate would have experience in electronic manufacturing for defence equipment, particularly Communications.

You must have experience of working with High Speed electronics for this role.

Job Description:

  • Build, test and repair of complex low volume communication products, in accordance with existing assembly and test procedures.
  • Self-motivated, results driven, with experience in diagnostic fault finding down to component level on complex communication products with a desire to improve products and the processes used to build/test.
  • Maintain and develop product assembly and test capability by identifying potential process improvements and contributing to their implementation
  • Assembly and test of Electronic products.
  • Fault diagnosis to component level on complex products.
  • Methodical approach to record keeping and shipping of units
  • Experience of security aspects of Protectively Marked Material.

Technical Expertise:

  • Qualified to A-Level/BTEC Level 3 in STEM subjects, or equivalent vocational qualifications
  • Hands-on experience of applicable assembly, test and diagnosis techniques for complex electronic assemblies

Sector/Industry Knowledge:

Low volume highly complex communications products
