Role: IT Security Support Engineer
Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands
Duration: 6 months + Extension
Job Description:
- Detection and response to security incidents generated by the different security technologies deployed, reported by the IT Service Desk, internal staff or other mediums.
- Prior experience working in a Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT/CIRT) or IT security environment
- Analyze events/alerts and escalate to incidents if necessary
- Provide initial response and investigation of confirmed security incidents
- Primary point of contact for handling incidents
- Log incidents and escalate to next level if required
- Perform Root Cause Analysis
- Knowledge with networking concepts and protocols (such as DNS, HTTP(S), SMTP, FTP, etc.)
- Certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, CEH are preferred.
- Trustworthiness and integrity.
- Ability to take decisive action based on available information in a timely manner.
