Looking for a talented WiFi?? Infrastructure?? Technical ??Lead to support a digitally focused central Government department (OUTSIDE IR35)Reporting to the Head of Workplace Technology this position will formulate a product Strategy/vision and roadmap.
The WiFi Infrastructure Technical Lead provides the comprehensive high level architecture, functionality and implementation of the WiFi network infrastructure.
Working collaboratively with other work stream architects and key-stakeholders helping to determine business and user requirements that will be met by the Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Skill-set
- Proven experience of developing technology strategies and roadmaps for WiFi implementations
- Experience designing enterprise scale solutions
- A strong understanding of emerging WiFi networking infrastructure technologies
- Strong trouble shooting mind-set
- Handsonexperiencesupportingmultiplenetworkhardwarevendorsandservice providers
- Ability to write technical and operational management documentation
- AsuccessfultrackrecordofdeliveringlargescaleWiFinetworktransformations
- Experience of working with controller-less WiFi solutions
- Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues
- Assists in the construction and implementation aspects of delivery
- Experience with DevOps and Agile Delivery Frameworks
- Producing high-level infrastructure designs
- Producing low-level implementation plans and associated documentation
- Hands-on implementation where appropriate
- Producing operational support documentation
- Collaborate ??with ??other Government ??Departments ??and?? organisations ??to?? ensure?? best practices ??and?? pan-??Government?? principles?? are ??being?? followed
