Description
The Cloud Security/Network Technical Lead supports and designs the comprehensive high level architecture, functionality and implementation of the network infrastructure with a primary focus on Cloud Infrastructure including Cloud Security, Secure Internet Gateways,hosting as well as traditional networking solutions including LAN, WAN, WiFi, and network security.Reporting to the Technology Lead Architect this position will formulate a product strategy/vision and roadmap to ensure we are on the quickest and best path for success.
Working collaboratively with other workstream architects and key stakeholders helping to determine business and user requirements that will be met by the network infrastructure.
? Proven experience of developing technology strategies and roadmaps for Enterprise
Cloud infrastructures.
? Experience designing enterprise scale solutions
? A strong understanding of emerging network infrastructure technologies
? Working knowledge of Secure Internet Gateways and Next Generation Firewalls
? Strong troubleshooting mind-set
? Hands on experience with multiple network hardware vendors and service providers
? Ability to write technical and operational management documentation
? A successful track record of leading and delivering large scale Network
transformations
? Experience of working with Cloud Security technologies
? Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and
provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues
? Assists in the construction and implementation aspects of delivery
? Experience with DevOps and Agile Delivery Frameworks
? Producing high-level infrastructure designs
? Producing low-level implementation plans and associated documentation
? Hands-on implementation where appropriate
? Defining monitoring solutions
? Producing operational support documentation
? Solid knowledge and experience of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
A Cloud Security a lead network architect is accountable for designs and networks representing their business area.
The Cloud Security/Network Technical Lead will :
? be a point of escalation and actively input into governance forums that determine IT
strategy
? cascade messages, standards and best practice from other architecture teams and
design authorities to the network architecture team
? act as a subject matter expert for network architects and represent network architects
internally and externally
? have an understanding of all network technology including: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data
centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms,
network management solutions, and network specific security and remote access
technologies and approaches
? champion new technologies and solutions
? coach and mentor network engineers and associate network engineers.
? be strategic thinkers that can communicate network concepts to technical and
non-technical stakeholders
