One of the largest travel companies is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to work out of their central London location. This Infrastructure Manager will take a pivotal role within the company's European division. Ideally this person will come with a wealth of experience and love for new emerging technologies.
Infrastructure Managers duties:
- Manage IT resources.
- Manage computer operations including support,
- Provide the in depth technical experience needed to make decisions.
- Be a key member in spotting trends.
- Manage the day to day IT operations including costs, ensuring end users are happy and performance.
- Responsible for team to ensure full life cycle value is achieved.
Experience/Skills needed for the position:
- At least 5 years' experience in an IT management role.
- Must have worked within network design, database admin, programming or similar area.
- Ability to drive performance and work on multiple projects at one time in different locations.
- University Degree.
- Understanding of ITIL practises.
- Expert knowledge of Server Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure and Emerging Technologies.
- Extremely strong communication skills but written and verbal. This is for the constant communication with the team, vendors, preparing reports, communicate plans to upper management/board level.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
