Description
The Site Team Leader must have a proven track record of leading teams of three people. Create documentation according to client Standards and timelines (Site Handler, SIR, & Photo Report). Comply with client Safety Standards & Requirements, client specific procedures to work in live networks and comply with client Quality Standards and Requirements. Candidates must have Site Integration and ATP/Customer Sign-off experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead her/his team to different sites to assess survey damage, record and upload pictures, keep logs
- Work on generators' repair when needed
- Microwave alignments
- Installation, maintenance and repairs of radio access nodes, core network transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks
- Interact with other technicians and customer's technical staff. Troubleshoot RBS issues, board issues (CBU/DUL, OBIF, RAX and TX). Understand and implement RAN, RF and Transmission designs
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Climbing Certification such as ComTrain or similar
- Ericsson Certifications UMTS, LTE, WCDMA, GSM or similar.
- LTE RBS certified or similar experience
- OSHA Training
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet Software Spreadsheet Software (Excel) Word Processing Software (Word) and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six or more years of relevant industry experience at least two years leading a crew of 3 crew members or more
- Two or more years of experience in a network rollout discipline
- Working knowledge of Ericsson RBS Element Manager (EMAS) and Ericsson SmartLaptop
- Cell site installation experience
- 3 years' experience climbing
- Knowledge of transport and Microwave, and fiber transmission concepts.
- LTE and CDMA experience
- Proficient in the use of windows 7, Internet Explorer and ipconfig
- Flexibility in working hours, travel
- Electrical Trades qualification (Electrician) with some telecommunications experience
- Experience integrating and troubleshoot Ericsson RBS (6201, 6101, 6601) cabinets and rack mounted equipment
- Comtrain Climber Rescue Course or equivalent
- Must be willing to climb tall structures in excess of 300 feet and work in all types of weather conditions.
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull 75+ lbs.
- Able to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the work day.
- Able to reach, grasp and climb with both hands.
- Able to manipulate equipment and instruments with precise hand and finger movements.
