Description
Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- 4+ years' background in software development or DevOps as well as familiarity with infrastructure tools such as VMware, AWS, Vagrant and Docker
- Several years of Linux/Unix Administration experience, including automation tools such as Puppet, Chef and SaltStack
- Proficiency of Java web application development along with Atlassian toolset knowledge, including Jira and Confluence
- Know-How of APIs and RESTful services according with scripting in CloudFormation, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ancible, TerraForm or similar products
- Ability to work in Linux (RHEL and CentOS) as well as Windows environments
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Providing and automating the software development tool chain along with creating self-service and automated tools and testing
- Operating and maintaining CI/CD pipeline software
- Collaborating with the cloud team for maintaining best practices coupled with instantiation of automation scripts
- Working together with Software Engineering teams for ensuring DevOps practices and principles
- Fulfilling on-site operational user support for AWS and DevOps platforms and tools, including design and consulting support
