Description
I am working with a global telecomms company to find them a Network & Security Engineer on an initial 6 month contract, based with their team on site in Brussels.
Candidates must have experience in supporting & implementing Firewall's, CCNA accredited & be fluent in Dutch as well as English.
As member of the network and security team you will participate in both operational and project related tasks.
*For operational tasks you will provide 2nd or 3rd line support for incidents, problems, reporting and monitoring for cases where 1st line team was not able to solve the issue at hand
*For project related tasks you will take on the role Technical project lead for network or security projects or support other project teams
Typical tasks:
*Design/Implementation of networks
*Prepare and deploy network infrastructure
*Review of network device configuration and architecture
*Network device vulnerability and assessment/remediation
*Monitor and troubleshoot network and security devices
*Enforcement of network and network security policies
*Ensure connectivity and bandwidth
Qualifications:
*Excellent people skills and team player
*At least 3 years of network and security engineering experience
*Experience with various network tools
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Dutch verbal and writing skills
Skills and experience, thorough knowledge of the following:
Network:
Layer 2
Spanning Tree (PVST, MST)
Layer 3
IP Adressing
BGP, OSPF
WLAN
Cisco WLC
Security:
Networking theory, TCP/IP
Firewall L4/L7
VPN: IPSec, SSL
Forward Proxy
Knowledge of the following products (one or more is a a must):
*Cisco Catalyst
*Juniper MX
*Juniper Netscreen (ISG, SSG), SRC
*Palo Alto
*Bluecoat Forward Proxy
*F5 LTM
*Infoblox DNS/DHCP
*FortiNet FortiGate
Optional knowledge:
*Python
*Linux
*Open source tools: Cacti, Netdisco, MySQL, Icinga
