My client based in Sunbury requires an IT Analyst

The IT Analyst - Data Analytics, Reporting and Automation lead will work across Business Application Services (BAS) for Upstream Services to understand Service Owners requirements for data analytics and reporting. The lead monitor and review and analyze the data with a view to provide better insights to service performance and supplier management. Additionally, will use data analytics and insights to drive the Automation agenda across the service areas. The role may be required to create and publish reports and dashboards.
Accountabilities

  • Single point of accountability within BAS for ensuring monitoring, reporting and automation services meet the needs of BAS Petrotechnical (PT) and Production Manufacturing and Engineering (PME) teams
  • Gathers requirements for delivering these services and works with relevant teams to develop and deliver
  • Ensures that a reporting model is in place where appropriate tools are used for appropriate reporting, eg PowerBI, Tableau vs ServiceNXT, and that data produced from different tools aligns to show consistent messages
  • Ensures that BAS suppliers are using consistent standards for producing reports that provide SLA or other contractual or KPI metrics
  • Promotes the use of reporting tools and improves value and awareness delivered, eg by implementing dashboards.
  • Owner for ASM Portal, responsible for agreeing product roadmap and managing development of the product in line with BAS PT & PME team requirements
  • Owner for ServiceNXT toolset. Influences the ServiceNXT toolset roadmap and product direction
  • Ensures that the support models are in place and appropriate for tools owned within the role. Ensures that these cover:
  • Technical support for the tool covering applying patches, implementing new versions, fixing issues with the tool etc.
  • Support for the Reporting services, covering configuration of reports, refining of criteria for displaying accurate data
  • Support for the monitoring service, including configuration of alerting thresholds, alert delivery to appropriate locations, deployment of new agents etc.
  • Ensures that all appropriate standards are adhered to in terms of implementing the ServiceNXT toolset, eg change management, digital security etc.
  • Ensures that Supplier Delivery Teams progress opportunities for using automation to improve the quality of service to users, leveraging tools such as ServiceNXT, ServiceNow, PowerBI etc.
  • Reports generated from tools display trusted data
  • Reports generated by different reporting tools demonstrate consistent messages
  • Service improvement is delivered by progressing the automation agenda
  • Tools within scope have effective operating models with all supporting requirements in place

Required Experience:

  • Strong technical foundation with in-depth knowledge of the application of technology in enabling Automation, Data Analytics, Process improvement/development
  • Background in developing IT strategies
  • Exceptional influencing, communications and management skills
  • Ability to build credibility and collaborative relationships at all levels and facilitate effective teamwork across internal and external boundaries
  • Demonstrate prior success in delivering continuous improvement
  • Understanding of Service Now, ServiceNxt, PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire. Automation tooling and techniques.
