Reply are looking for a Logistics/Supply Chain Solution Architect to join our architecture team at a major retailer based in London.
Highlights of skills desired:
Experience of modern WMS implementation, general merchandise/fashion/fast fashion, with wireless manual receiving and picking including put to store in a grid as well as pick to carton (trolley pick). Picked goods trunking and crossdocking. Manhattan a plus, including various Manhattan integration layer capabilities.
Experience of materials handling/warehouse control system integration to WMS and utilisation ie carton conveyors, automated storage etc. Vanderlande systems a plus.
Awareness of customer order picking/packing processes
Awareness of host system supply chain capabilities with respect to WMS and overall supply chain (Legacy in house built supply chain system running on IBM Power I/IBM i-series/AS-400 platform)
Awareness of WMS integration to dynamic route scheduling systems eg Paragon, and nominated carrier schemes.
Awareness of WMS integration to time clocking systems eg Kronos
Awareness of WMS operations in a type e bonded environment (Accredited Economic Operator/Registered Exporter experience a plus), and integration to duty reporting systems. Langdons connected to HMRC CHIEF/CDS a plus
Awareness of supplier facing extranets to facilitate the delivery booking process from freight forwarders/import agents/deconsolidation
Awareness of use of external processers with WMS to perform value added logistics, as well as in-warehouse product processing (eg up and hang, tunnel, shroud, security tagging)
Awareness of EDI in a WMS context (ie inbound/outbound ASN/early dispatch notification, Premark cross-dock carton preparation.)
Awareness of pack and dispatch to 3rd parties (franchisees and wholesale customers)
Awareness of message oriented Middleware/web services integration using an ESB (Oracle FMW a plus)
The potential work (TBD):
Support of requirements/design workshops to roll out existing WMS implementation (no MHE) to 2nd site. Solution Architecture documents to implement newly identified requirements for all existing sites (3) and transition from home-built Legacy part-paper based WMS capability (phased by site and brand)
Support of requirements/design workshops to roll out existing WMS to new build warehouse with MHE. Solution Architecture documents, and input into Solution approach and scoping to help form a viable IT implementation approach agreed with business stakeholders
Evaluation and architecture of ongoing change requests for design repair and continuous improvement of existing live Manhattan warehouse sites.
Presentation of solution architecture into architecture governance in a timely way.
