IP Network Site Engineer with Telecom or service provider background NEEDED! My telecoms client is looking for a CCNP/JNCIP/CCIE/JNCIE IP Network Site Engineer in IP/MPLS/VOIP/Linux to join the team for long-term projects. The person will be working as a long-term rolling contractor (with good rate) from one project to another, similar to a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years experience in IP/MPLS/VOIP/Linux working as an On-site IP Engineer assisting clients to improve their network. Experience using Network Management Systems is a big PLUS. Duties include Implementation, Configuration, Optimisation/Optimization, Troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To work as a Technical IP Network Engineer in all the phases of the project;
2. To take part in the site-level consultancy;
3. To provide complex ISP/Telco backbone data network technical software solution using company's network management system;
4. To work with the customer, gathering requirements and translate client requirements into Technical requirements and communicate with the technical teams/engineers;
5. To ensure the quality of the solution design and implementation of the network rollout project.
Requirements:
1. English working environment, Arabic is Nice to have;
2. Excellent skills and knowledge in IP and MPLS service protocol and technologies; CCNP/JNCIP (Required), CCIE/JNCIE (Preferred);
3. Expert knowledge of data network product platforms such as Cisco IOS, JunOS;
4. 7-10 years experience of working in Large ISP/Telco networks as a Site-based Network/IP Engineer or similar positions;
5. Vendor certificates: CCIE/JNCIE or CCNP/JNCIP (SP modules)
6. Eligible to work in Muscat of Oman, SCC Citizen
