Description
Capability Manager role that I am currently recruiting for on a contract basis. The client provides a variety of electronic products for military applications, predominantly Naval and Sonar Defence. In short, they are looking for an experience Systems Engineer that has knowledge/experience of bids, proposals and experience of tender evaluation.
Role: Capability Manager
Rate: £435 - £500 per day (some flexibility)
Duration: Initial 6 months, likely to last longer
Location: Buckinghamshire
Start Date: January 2018
Clearance: Ability to gain SC clearance
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering best practices and common pitfalls.
- Working knowledge/appreciation of software electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of Naval Combat Management Systems
- Experience of Naval Combat Management Systems design
- Experience of writing proposals
- Experienced in Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) Planning
Desirable Skills
- Combat Management System Development Planning
- Combat System Security architecture design and accreditation planning (JSP440)
- Combat System Safety Management Planning
- Naval Platform Acceptance Planning (HAT, SAT)
Also - as a desirable would be the experience of Tender evaluation and integration/qualification of one or more of the following:
- 2D and 3D Radars
- Electronic Support Measures
- Link 11/16
- HMS/VDS Sonar
- Anti Air Warfare system, including Point Defence Missile System (eg Sea Ceptor) and Close in Weapon System (eg Phalanx)
- Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) system integration
- Integrated Communication System
- Integrated Nav & Bridge System (INBS)
