Description
A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as an Onshore Export Cable Installation Manager on their offshore wind farm projects. This is an initial 6 months freelance contract role to start 1st February 2018 up unto approx. 31st July 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The Consultant must expect some travelling to the client's other offices in the UK.Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing proposals with respect to Cable Installation.
- Attend workshops, collaboration on methodologies, time schedule, and interface risk.
- Manage drainage survey and design works.
- Manage interface with major crossing agreements.
- Arrange and attend meetings with Asset Owners/Kelvin to develop agreement, methodologies and understanding of the technical issues and how these can be resolved to allow agreements to be put in place prior to works starting.
- Manage interface with the site and land rights team so all requirements of land management are understood and incorporated by the contractors into their works.
- Interface with GIS mapping to ensure all available and future information is captured and available to the client and contractors on maps/plans and develop GIS system (ongoing) for better visibility of information.
- Interface with Site Investigations team for ongoing works on the cable route and feed results into Installation works.
- Interface with consents/Land Management/GIS Mapping/Site Investigations/Offshore Cable Installation to feed into Landfall HDD tender process.
- Assist with the ongoing Consenting and Technical development of the cable route till around March 2018.
- Minimum 5 years. of practical as well as theoretical experience within HV cable onshore installation.
- Possesses the skills of a good project engineer.
The Consultant must bring his/her own mobile telephone (i-Phone 4S,5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Window phone 8.1 & PC with MS Office software.
