Your tasks:
- As a hardware & software engineer for medical devices, you will be involved in early stage, innovative development and prototyping experience in electronics and software
- Development of software to medical standards, as well as exposure to other related methodologies, including risk management, and requirements engineering
- Exposure to microcontroller systems
- Design and testing of electronics
- Design and development of complex embedded firmware systems
- Mechanical integration and work with miniaturization
Your qualifications
- Early stage, Innovative Development and Prototyping experience in Electronics and software understanding of scale-up, including DfM, and automated testing
- Experience in the development of software to medical standards, Embedded Firmware and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), ISO13585
- Extensive expertise in Software development and related methodologies, including Risk Management, Requirements Engineering
- Firmware Development experience: Design and development of complex embedded systems, Embedded C programming (Keil, Visual Studio or similar)
- Experience of programming various embedded/RTOS; particular skills in ARM Cortex series, and Nordic 51 and 52 Series, Microcontroller (SoC) applications
- Proven experience in BLE and RFID development
- Understanding of microcontroller systems, including ASIC and FPGA development and development and integration of sensors, including interfaces (e.g. I2C)
- Hands-on expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, development and testing, component selection, PCB Design and Layout, including SMT
- Experience in the development of small battery powered devices, particularly ultra-low power and BLE systems
- Experience with design and testing of Electronics, including ESD, EMC, RF circuit and Antenna design, BLE testing and approval (according CE and FCC/IC), scale-up and manufacture
- Experience in miniaturization, plus integration of hardware with electro mechanical systems, e.g. Wearables development
- Experience in design and development of user interfaces (Human Factors Engineering, GUIs, MMI, HIDs)
- Experience with Application Development, development and programming of iOS and Android applications (particularly BLE, RFID), web programming, Linux, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful and IoT is beneficial
