Our experienced team is managing a high profile large scale IT infrastructure project within a $7.5bn Civil Construction Port development in Qatar
We are looking for 3 experienced Systems Application Package Lead contractors to manage the design and align the deployment and integration of three systems applications - PMIS/POS/TOS see below for more detail:
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Subcontractor and delivery teams on all Package requirements, manage all aspects of delivery, record and resolve all concerns and issues.
- Lead team of direct and indirect reporting personnel to deliver solution - this may include sub-contractors and/or team members
- Provide input to and update Engineering Deliverable Register for required system documentation.
- Provide regular input to Detailed Time Programme on status of system delivery.
- Review, extend and expand on original system design to progress to 100% Issued for Construction status as part of Design and Build contract, including all required hardware, software and licenses to meet contract specification.
- Co-ordinate with other package leads to provide input into their design to support the complete deployment of the Package in question (power, network, Internet, physical works etc) and other associated packages as needed
- Manage creation, editing, submission and response to comments for all documentation and drawings as related to Milestone and Authority To Proceed stage gates and report regularly against status.
- Manage delivery of system through testing, commissioning and handover to end user once design phase is completed and approved
- Manage creation of training documentation and process for end-users and arrange for provision of training (in person or remote) to contract specifications
- Work with interface manager to create and maintain Interface Control Documents as needed for the package in question and all interfacing systems
- Prepare overall status and activity metrics that document and track delivery of systems and other key performance metrics
- Delivery of information and reports (written and oral) to stakeholders, end-users and/or management as required
To be considered you must demonstrate:
- Complete and thorough understanding of the ONE of the following:
- PMIS (Port Management Information System)
- PCS (Port Community System)
- TOS (Terminal Operating System)
- If you have none of the above specifically but have lead enterprise/systems applications experience in a large civil construction environment or particularly an airport or cargo/sea port operations that will also be considered
- Understanding of how the package interfaces with other enterprise applications
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Flexible in approach and able to work under pressure
- Strong character and personality, demonstrated ability to lead and manage
- Minimum 5 years of relevant direct experience with the systems aplication
- Preferably a good understanding of the port/container terminal business and operational processes (desirable)
- Effective Team lead experience of at least 3 personnel for more than 1 year
- Project managed delivery of at least 3 comparable systems
- Degree in computer science, applications, or related discipline required
- Available for at least a 6 month contract in Qatar
