Job Title: Senior OS Specialist

Contract Rate: Euro 220 per day max

Our Client, one of the world's foremost Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Contract Senior OS Specialist to join their client in Parma, Italy.
Perform and coordinate effective installation of operating systems and
properly configure hardware and software on servers.
Administer Operating Systems, install new software releases, system upgrades,
evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory
assessment, and other procedures related to systems management.
Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations
regarding computer system security, computer system performance, disk and
other components utilization. Monitors systems applications assigned to track
operating efficiency.
Test and implement technical solutions and provide strong operational
support on virtualization architectures.
Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and
perform standard administration functions as needed.
Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and
implement systems.
He/she reports status, and flags issues to the project manager.
Skills & Experience Secondary school diploma plus six Years of proven experience in the field.
Can work seamlessly in the Technological Environment
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and related
management tools. Comprehensive technical knowledge of Windows
Active Directory.
Years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration tool, with
years in a Windows Server environment supporting 200+ users,
experience with Group Policies.
Years' experience supporting Microsoft Cluster Services.
Years' experience installing and operating Microsoft Internet Information
Server.
Years' experience installing and operating VMware ESXi and VMware
vCenter.
Knowledge of VMware scripting (reporting and deployments).
Must have practical exposure to storage and data management products, Intel
based servers and SAN/NAS technologies.
Any relevant certification in the area is an asset.
Good understanding of ITIL practices and knowledge of the COBIT framework.
He/she shall have a very good written and oral command of English.
Knowledge of Italian is a definite plus.
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid
self-starting capability and experience in team working are mandatory.
