We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company, to support their fixed network project in the UK.

Position Title: Fixed Network Service Engineer

Responsibilities:
- To prepare, monitor and control the Fiber/Copper cable network civil design activities by internal staff and/or subcontractors in ensuring that the Fiber/Copper network is designed in a cost effective manner.
- To manage the Fiber/Copper network design activities in ensuring that the design output are submitted and approved timely to meeting the projects schedule, quality standards and customer needs.
- To conduct Design Review Meetings and Workshops as required; and to formulate and approve the Fiber/Copper infrastructure design guidelines and drafting standards/requirements for the turnkey project.
- To investigate and determine if survey reports/results are acceptable and determine/justify the Feeder, FDT and Distribution cable routing and locations.
- To ensure the subcontractors’ performance meet the required specifications/guidelines and quality standard, and take remedial actions when required.
- To carry out feasibility and BOQ study and formulate Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) on Fiber/Copper infrastructure projects, and prepare proposals or reports
- To identify training requirements for subordinates and establish individual development plan for internal staff and subcontractor.
- Setup subcontractor pool for Copper/OSP work, negotiation with subcontractors on SOW and commercials.
- Working with BT network, on civil related design, implementation and engineering supervising;

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Higher Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Civil Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years working experiences in telecommunication Copper/OSP fields,
- Training/Qualification recognized by appropriate authorities.
- Good inter-personal, negotiation and communication skill with customer-oriented mind-set.
- Able to lead and manage a working team.
- Experience of Copper/OSP end to end delivery project
- Experience of civil works, understanding of street work regulations (NRSWA). Understandings of detail process of permit/noticing.
- Fluent/native English (oral and written).
- Preferred to have NRSWA (Signing, Lighting and Guarding) and Full UK driving license.
