Job description:
I am looking for a SW Engineer to work on site on a new project. Ideally you would look to start in Jan and work until completion and handover. Here are the details.
We are trying to develop an interface box that will sit on their control gates and provide the following functions.
Connect using our Modbus protocol
Store the gate configuration settings
Retrieve specific data from the gate when required or on a regular basis
Publish gate settings and data to the cloud using MQTT
Publish data to local systems using our Modbus protocol
Host the Node Red SW and use this as the tool to implement specific event based routines.
Therefore we are looking for someone with Node Red and MQTT experience. It would also be helpful if they know Modbus. One of the key elements of this position is to develop the system architecture and addressing conventions for the gates/complete system in a way that ensures full scalability.
Our plan is to introduce a proof of concept as quickly as possible based on a limited set of data being transferred and used but then once this is running we plan to expand it and develop the functionality and intelligent event management.
