Reed Technology are currently recruiting for an Information Governance Lead for our client within the public sector. The contract is until 31st March 2018 at the rate of £300.00 per day and it is inside IR35.
What are we looking for?
Responsibilities:
The post holders will help with the delivery of requirements that will help with the further implementation of the WCCIS system and the maximisation of its benefits.
The post holder will take responsibility for specified key deliverables. These are likely to include, but will not be limited to:
* Development of a model to deal with consent to share information held on the system
* Development of a model to deal with highly sensitive information held on the system
* Development of common data handling standards and associated procedures
Experience:
* Experience of working in projects or programmes involving the integration of health and/or social care case management systems.
* Significant equivalent experience of working in an Information Governance environment within a public sector organisation; preferably in health, social care or both.
* Possess an in depth knowledge and practical experience of Data Protection, common law duty of confidence, other relevant legislation and their influence on sharing/processing personal information within and outside the public sector.
* Possess a good understanding and experience of the requirements of Information Governance standards and guidance relating to the differing public sector organisations ie ISO27001, Caldicott, Confidentiality Code of Practice for Health and Social Care, Code of Practice on the Management of Public Services Information, etc.
* Proven experience of thinking in a creative and innovative way to improve the confidentiality and security of personal information processed in a public sector arena.
* Experience of working across organisational boundaries and working at varying levels of seniority.
Qualifications:
Educated to Masters Level or equivalent levels of experience
Possess a formal Information Governance qualification such as the BCS Practitioner Certificate in
Data Protection (formerly ISEB)
