Description
System Engineer with profound Unix knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- 10+ years' working experience in Linux system engineering, preferably in a global enterprise
- 8+ years' scripting and 7+ years' coding background
- 7+ years' practical knowledge in Requirement Engineering as well as Testing
- Proficiency of scripting and automation in Bash, Ruby and Python
- Strong understanding of configuration management (Puppet/Chef) and familiarity with AWS Cloud Computing platform
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Being responsible for a strong technical depth across infrastructure technology in Linux, Virtualization, Cloud and Process Automation
- Conducting re-architecture of existing systems for implementing streamlined, well-performing, automated and scalable architectures
- Collaborating with enterprise architecture, infrastructure and application teams for producing an optimal, conceptual, high level project design
- Analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural solution
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues, especially recurring problems impacting production applications
- Designing, documenting, and maintaining architecture diagrams for systems, processes and interfaces as well as identifying and defining standards and operational procedures
