The Company
ConSol Partners client is a ICT Services and Solutions provider to the public sector who are looking for a SAN Architect to join the team for a long term project. The SAN Architect will be working on a contract basis which holds great potential add value to your already strong skill set and experience.
Job title: SAN Architect (Storage Architect)
Location: Luxembourg
Contract Length: 12 Months Initial Contract
Responsibilities
The SAN Architect will be an excellent communicator. You will be able to translate requirements into functional architecture and be able to explain complex infrastructure to the operational teams. A strong background working in operational teams and participating in projects is a must.
The SAN Architect should be able to complete the following activities:
- Designing SAN and Storage Solutions based on Brocade and Hitachi Platforms, plus other vendors if required.
- Write Architectures documentations and SOP
- Transition/Hand-Over infrastructure to Operational Team
- Provide level 3 support for the operational teams.
Requirements
The following requirements/experience will be required of the SAN Architect:
- Expert knowledge of Brocade products and technologies, such as; Gen-5 Platforms, Virtual Fabrics, Logical SANs and Brocade Network Advisor
- Knowledge of Storage High Availability, Disaster Tolerant and Business Continuity Solutions, such as; Storage Replication (True Copy/Global Active Device), Shadow/Thin Image
- Expert knowledge of Hitachi Software; Hitachi Command Suite including Tuning Manager, Replication Manager and Automation Director, Command Control Interface and Dynamic Link Manager
- Expert knowledge of Hitachi Storage Products; VSP, VSP Gx00, VSP G1x00
- Knowledge of Storage and SAN/Fibre Channel concepts and components with ability to configure, monitor and troubleshoot the environment
- Knowledge of Hitachi Content Platform, Content Platform Anywhere and Data Ingestor
- Understanding of how storage integrates with the Operating System/Application, such as; RHEL, VMware, Windows and OracleRAC
- Scripting knowledge Perl or python
- Readiness to perform occasionally support during out of office hours
You are willing to travel in order to attend industry events and customer meetings. You are fluent in English at a spoken, listening and writing level.
