I am currently recruiting to secure details of interested candidates for an Electrician/Panel Builder position with my client based in Birmingham.

Job purpose:

To build, wire up, test and commission electrical control panels and to wire up, electrically integrate, test and commission machines, so that specially designed machines are completed to the required specification, within the allotted time, and to the Customers complete satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Build control panels and cabinets by:
  • Drilling and cutting cabinets to suit
  • Fitting DIN rails, trunking and other electrical components to the panel
  • Fixing the panels into the cabinets
  • Connecting up the components within the cabinet.
  • Working to electrical schematic diagrams
  • Wire up machines by:
  • Fitting control panels to machines, fitting other electrical components, including Switches, sensors, HMIs
  • Wiring up and connecting electrical components and control panels
  • Working to electrical schematic diagrams
  • Working alongside fitters and engineers
  • Test and commission all electrical aspects of the machine and control panels.
  • The successful job holder (or candidate) will need to;

    • Possess several years' relevant experience.
    • Be apprentice trained or have received appropriate formal training
    • Possess appropriate qualifications (City and Guilds or similar).

    Rate - £14 per hour

    Locations - Birmingham

    Contract - 6 months
