Description
A Large Technology Company is currently seeking a Snr z/OS Middleware (MQ) Specialist for an initial 6 month contract based in West Pennant Hills.
The Snr MQ Middleware Specialist focuses on the delivery of Middleware support for MQ problems, requests for service and administration of the MQ z/OS environment on customer sites. It includes ensuring that the services provided to individual customers meet the terms and conditions of contracts; achievement of SLA objectives; achievement of a high level of customer satisfaction; and also ensuring that project tasks assigned meet time and customer satisfaction objectives.
To be successful for this role:
- Understands and applies basic knowledge of information technology and associated tools of their technical speciality to support attainment of team and department objectives.
- Requires the ability to absorb professional knowledge quickly and develop skills
- Must be Industry Certified within 12 months of commencing role for the Middleware product that is supported.
- Draws upon concepts of tools, technologies and methodologies to collaborate with other technical specialists when carrying out assigned duties.
- Effectively negotiates with technical peers, and occasionally with customers, to implement technical solutions.
- Recognises and articulates job related problems to management.
- Analyses technical problems and creates solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. Performs assigned tasks within schedule in accordance with established standards and guidance.
- Must be customer-orientated while maintaining focus on the overall delivery of service.
