Security Engineer/SIEM software/ArcSight/Unix & Windows/Building Connectors
Our client is a world-recognized organization and one of the leaders on the Dutch market. They are looking for a Security Engineer with advanced experience in ArcSight on Unix and Windows.
The team you will be working in is responsible for the application support, administration, and integration of regional infrastructure and applications with ArcSight. The Security team provides these services to the regional entities across the world.
Your job as a technical expert will be ranging from support, maintenance and troubleshooting to advising, designing and implementing security solutions.
Your profile as an ArcSight Security Engineer is:
- You are a security engineer with experience in the deployment, configuration and management of SIEM software.
- You have experience in HP ArcSight (ESM, Express, Logger, SmartConnectors and Connector Appliances, FlexConnectors, IdentityView, Reports and Dashboards).
- You are familiar with Tripwire, Qualys, DBProtect
- You have experience in Scripting technologies and operating systems (Unix, Windows, databases) and in application support.
- You are familiar with/have experience in ITIL and LEAN.
- You have a hands-on mentality. You can help the team develop connectors and support global rollouts and upgrades.

Your profile
. You are a security engineer with experience in the deployment, configuration and management of SIEM software;
. Experience with HP ArcSight (ESM, Express, Logger, SmartConnectors and Connector Appliances, FlexConnectors, IdentityView, Reports and Dashboards) is important;
. Additional experience with Tripwire, Qualys, DBProtect and CyberArk is preferred;
. You have a relevant higher vocation degree (preferably at Bachelor level) and experience in the field of security integration;
. Knowledgeable in Scripting technologies and operating systems (Unix, Windows, databases) and proven experience with application support;
. Knowledge of ITIL and LEAN is an advantage.
The ideal candidate has a hands-on mentality and can within a short start-up period help the team in developing connectors and supporting global rollouts and upgrades. Consultancy for internal customers, ie regional security officers, to help them setting the (technical) requirements for implementation of ArcSight and to advise them on the best approach can also be part of the job. In addition, supporting internal audits by collecting information about the current implementations and drafting improvement plans for follow-up may also be part of the tasks.
