Description
System Engineer with skills in Unix/Linux/Perl/JavaScript/SQL is required for a 6 month contract assignment, located in Copenhagen/Denmark.
As a System Engineer you will have the responsibility to:
- develop and maintain systems and applications. Your primary focus will be on the in-house-developed systems.
- work within a wide range of diverse technologies stretching from databases, networking, Servers, clusters and other components and services.
- will work on tasks such as life cycle management, development and problem solving.
- play a key role when it comes to system design and aid stakeholder in the decision making process.
Skills/Experience required for the role of System Engineer:
- System/application development
- Linux/Unix and Windows Servers
- Solid knowledge of Perl, Javascript, and SQL
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networks
- Perl skills are needed and Java or Python development including object-oriented concepts skills are preferred.
- YANG and XML (including XPATH) modelling languages
- Revision control and source code repositories (Git)
- Network abstraction, eg Cisco NSO
- Units testing methodologies and frameworks Experience in software development with Scrum/Agile Methodology Exposure to web services (REST, JSON-RPC, or SOAP)
- SQL and TCP/IP Networking
- Knowledge of C network programming is a plus
