Description
Modis are currently recruiting for an Electrical Systems Engineer, focusing on validation &verification, to assist in the development of clients' products. They develop niche solutions for harsh environments across a wide product range, covering electric field sensors for deep ocean exploration to high power electric motors and converters for a range of customers.
The requirement is to work in a dedicated project team that is challenged with the task of delivering robust and cost effective instrumentation, control and power systems.
Role: Electrical Systems (V&V) Engineer
Rate: up to £40 per hour
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Duration: 6 months initially
Start Date: ASAP
Clearance: Must be eligible for SC

o Equipment Maintenance
o Handbook Information
Technical Essentials
- Broad knowledge of digital electronics and other areas of engineering (eg systems, analogue, power electronics, mechanical, motor, EMC etc)
- Experience using simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and circuit simulation software essential
- An understanding of processes and techniques applicable to high integrity design
- Good knowledge of best practice design life cycle process; gated design phases and design reviews
Personal attributes
- Degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- A proven track record of systems engineering techniques
- Ability to gain SC level security clearance
