Resident EngineerOur client, a global leading telecommunication company, is recruiting for a Resident Engineer to join their telecom projects in Mali and Cameroon.

Duration: 6 or 12 months initially

MAIN GOAL: To serve as an on-site support resource at the Customer’s Network Operation Center (NOC) or lab environment. This may include the following service activities as required:
Responsibilities:
- Support Customer-led operational test activities
- Production of network and lab support
- Trunk provisioning and testing functionality of new trunks
- Fault isolation, issue triage, investigation, replication and trouble resolution
- Assisting projects such as upgrades
- Flexible coverage (i.e. production and lab, business hours and off-hours)
- Service Migrations
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SBC, Call Routing Engine and associate Management platforms
- Ideally knowledge of one or more of the following Sonus products: 5k/7k SBC, EMS, PSX, Netscore
- Experience with various operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, UNIX, Linux, and protocols such as SS7, IP and SIP are required.
- Capability to work in a Data Centre for simple installation tasks
- Experienced with Data manipulation in Excel or with programming tools
- Experienced in working across an organization to deliver desired outcomes for a customer
- Excellent team worker
- Analytical & problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Position requires strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a time critical environment is required
- Fluent French and English
