Performance Engineer - eCommerce/Retail - New York - 12 Month Contract

Performance Engineer is urgently needed for a leading retailer in the heart of New York. The qualified candidate participates in the design, development, testing and implementation of performance test drivers. This candidate will participate in the execution and interpretation of test results, verifying that the software performance is within acceptable tolerances, as defined by either system requirements or modeled from current/future production throughput needs.
Responsibilities:
- Possess good experience in reviewing system architecture/deployment architecture and providing solution for better performance
- Good knowledge in developing strategies for assuring web/mobile application performance throughout SDLC phases
- Good experience in measuring/monitoring performance of various layers involved in end-to-end system.
- Experience in performance monitoring tools and APM tools like Perfmon, HP Sitescope, CA Introscope, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.
- Good experience in using profiling tools like Jprofiler, Jprobe, Jconsole, VisualVM, HP Diagnostics, etc, including GC/JVM analysis tools and heap/thread dump analysis tools.
- Experience in performance prediction/modelling analysis during early SDLC phases
- Experience in Capacity planning/sizing
