French or Dutch PI IS Analyst

Proteus Europe is searching for a French or Dutch PI IS Analyst for our client Linkebeek, Belgium

Our Client :-

Our client is a large multinational electric utility company; which operates in the fields of electricity generation and distribution, natural gas, nuclear and renewable energy.

Your New role :-

- Be part of an operational team of 8 people, who provide PI services to a variety of clients throughout Europe: Mainly power generation (power plants), but also trading, facility management, gas storage ... In total we manage over 15 PI servers, more than 150 interfaces and 1.000 users in 8 countries.
- This team, the PI Competence Center (PICC), is located mainly in Belgium, but also in the Netherlands and Italy. It takes care of the whole mix of PI services:
o Installation and configuration of PI servers, interfaces and clients. Our aim is to be close to the business, so on-site visits are part of the job.
o Daily monitoring of all our PI systems
o User support for PI calculations, AF models, tag management
o User training of PI applications
o Small, custom web and application development (mostly in .NET, HTML5, ...).
- European scope, both services and projects

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-

- IT or engineer background, through studies, experience or a high interest in IT.
- All-round basic PI knowledge: infrastructure, application layer of PI (PI/AF SDK, ACE, AF, web services, PI Vision, PI DataLink).
- Basic development skills (HTML5, .NET)
- Of course you are a team player and you are very motivated. Proactivity is very important. You should not (only) be instruction-driven, and you are not afraid to pick up a ringing telephone.
- You are curious to work in a specific IT world, closely linked to an industrial environment.
- The new resource will be in direct contact with other IT teams and business teams (Belgium and abroad).
- Short missions abroad (3-5 days each) are not a problem

- Language knowledge:

o Dutch and French: One of the two very good, the other good and willing to speak it.
o English: very good
o Other languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial systems like DCS, SCADA, PLC, RTU, ... is a plus
- Knowledge of the energy sector is a plus.

Hours:

- Flexible hours, with the exception that:

o When doing the SPOC role: workday starts at 8:00 at the latest.
o The day before your SPOC role: workday does not end before 17:00
