Our client, A well known Financial Services organisation based in Edinburgh City Centre are currently recruiting a number of experienced Solutions Architects on an initial 6 month contract basis.
The purpose of this role is to design and facilitate application and technology solutions that enable our clients current and future business aspirations with a focus on supporting a Technology Change portfolio, Although this will be primarily an architect role, successful candidates must also be capable of stepping down into high level design where required and be able to demonstrate a strong background in application architecture and design, and should have a broad understanding of mainstream Middleware and infrastructure technologies.
Experience working within the Financial Services Industry and a good understanding of mainstream technologies such as off the shelf packages, Application Development, Data Integration, Cloud Services and Databases is great however the client is looking for more specialist knowledge.
Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in any of the following areas:
Asset/Investment Management technologies; Charles River, ThinkFolio, Bloomberg, UBS Delta, SiteCore or Factset
Finance Systems such as; Coda GL, Hyperion
Extensive experience working with Middleware & Application Development platforms; Oracle/SQL Server, IBM WebSphere or WebSphere ESB, Ab-initio or .NET frameworks.
