Job Title - IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager
IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager with extensive experience of managing the transition and outsourcing of IT infrastructure networks across multiple global sites is required for an initial 12 month contract, based in Vigo, Spain. Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent level of 3rd line support to the corporations IT team and it's users, giving support across the whole of business in front and Back Office functions. The role will have oversight of IT Operations including Service Delivery, Application, Server and Network infrastructure.
Candidates wishing to be considered must have a good knowledge of licensing of Microsoft technologies. The IT Operations Manager must also have a good knowledge of managing international networks, which will have included technologies including: Cisco, SharePoint and MPLS. It is important that candidates wishing to apply have experience of dealing with Outsourcers, in particular BT (British Telecom) as our client works closely with BT for the outsourcing of their EMEA Networks. One of the name focusses of this role will be to manage the outsourcing of the EMEA networks, into our clients' Brazilian operation. In addition to experience of EMEA networking, candidates wishing to apply must have knowledge of managing the support of our client's Cyber security.
Experience required is as follows;
- In depth ITIL Knowledge
- At least 5 years' experience of managing a team of 5 or more
- 10 years of appropriate experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery, preferably with a medium size organisation
- Good understanding of Server & desktop hardware/operating systems, networks, Firewalls and load balancers, telecoms, etc.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
- In depth knowledge of Active Directory (Design, Security and Administration)
- In depth knowledge of Messaging (MS Exchange, Archiving, Unified Communications)
- In depth knowledge of Networking technologies and concepts. Good understanding of VMWare 5/Hyper V
- In depth knowledge of MS SharePoint
- Good understanding of IT security and Data protection
- Good understanding of Cloud and mobile technology
- Good knowledge of Remote Desktop Services
Additional benefit to contractor - there could be a bonus payment at the end of the assignment, which could be up to 2 years.
Daily Rate to Contractor: €300 euros per day
Start date - As soon as possible
Notice period between all parties - 3 months
Location - Vigo, Spain with some visits to Madrid
