Duration: 6months +-Contract

Rate: $45-48/hr W2

OSISoft PI Administrator

Description:

  • Provide day-to-day production support for applications, infrastructure, and end user client tools (ex. Datalink and Process Book).
  • Provide performance optimization and system health monitoring in support of compliance with overall health and availability targets for production systems.
  • Provide installation, configuration, and monitoring support for the PI system Servers, the application operating systems, interfaces, and client tools on end user workstations.
  • Create, monitor, and provide maintenance for PI system tags.
  • Provide monitoring and maintenance support for system security, deployment of patches, file backups, system restoration, and password management.
  • Provide technical expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques as required.
  • Develop and maintain effective application technical support documentation including procedures.
  • Support the evaluation of operating system upgrades and changes to support tools, including testing support.
  • Work directly with vendors and IT entities to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensure issues are properly documented, classified and escalated as appropriate.
  • Participate on project teams to deliver new functionality and to support corporate initiatives.
  • Collaborate and interact with Enterprise Architects, IT Operations, Telecom, and various other business units.
  • Comply with all applicable IT processes and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to change management processes.
  • Interact and provide support for end users.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with PI of experience, configuration, and monitoring of OSIsoft PI System Servers, interfaces, and user tools.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a system administrator of OSIsofts PI System.
  • 3 or more years of experience with OSIsoft PI System tag creation, tag monitoring, and tag maintenance.
  • Experience with the monitoring and maintenance of OSIsoft PI System security and the deployment of patches.
  • Experience with the creation and modification of notifications using OSIsofts PI Notifications.
  • Working knowledge of application development life cycles.
  • Strong organization and customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player that works well with others.
  • Experience in supporting end users with use of technology.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with application support and development.
  • Experience with OSIsoft AF development.
  • Experience in MS .NET application development.
  • Technical knowledge of networks and related hardware and software.
  • Technical knowledge of network security.
  • Experience with documenting procedures and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to relate them to the products or services the company is producing.
  • Understanding of and ability to use programming languages like Python and SQL (Structured Query Language).
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced prediction models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to bridge gap between data science and business management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and is detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, algorithms and advanced mathematics.
  • Experience working in agile software development teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Needs to be a team player who is focused on the success of the project and their peers
