Description
Our customer is looking for an experienced Wintel Specialist for a 3 month contract to help in the Upgrade of existing Windows server platforms to Windows 2016; assessment, design, build, and validation through proof of concept testing, then acceptance into managed service support.
Key Skills Needed:
- Windows Operating System 2008 to 2016
- Understanding of VMware virtualised environments, including HA and DRS
- Experience of transitioning of server environments from project phase into managed support
- Experience of creating designs for Windows 2016 Servers and platforms to host Middleware and application stacks
Day to day activity:
- Provide assistance with the migration of server platforms
- Hands-on troubleshooting of issues on new platform
- Transition of new platform into managed service support
- Design of server security hardening for Windows 2016 based on existing settings and corporate policies
- Hands-on troubleshooting of issues arising from the implementation of server security hardening
