Description
System Administrator Infrastructure with profound Linux / Unix knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- 3+ years' experience with administering Linux HPC environments using Linux build and packaging tools such as Easybuild, Make, CMake, RPM and Yum. Preferably with Professional Linux/Unix Certifications.
- Proven experience with working, installing and configuring scientific applications as well as competency of HPC cluster build and management tools and HPC infrastructure components, infiniband networking and GPUs
- Experience working with Scale-out NAS, Parallel Filesystems, Cloud technologies, infrastructure and platform as a service, AWS, Azure and Google
- Sense of the DevOPS approach of automated build/release test and deployment as well as configuration management using Jenkins, GIT and puppet
- Knowledge of parallel programming techniques and tuning, workload management and queue configuration along with experience in performing benchmark and writing documentation for platform and application
- Scientific knowledge or awareness of bioinformatics, cheminformatics, life sciences in addition to Programming skills in high level languages such as Java or C++ are a plus
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken. German is an advantage.

- Ensuring Delivery of the scientific Linux application environment
- Supporting the HPC platform and Linux systems including laboratory environment
- Managing scientific application and data analysis toolset build system
- Contributing to planning and execution of projects, job submission optimization and HPC/HTC workflow
