IT Application Analyst (Finance, HR and Payroll Systems) - Wigan

About the role of IT Application Analyst:
As part of a business separation programme, a number of projects are inflight to implement new systems in both the finance and people services functions. As an IT Application Analyst you will be responsible for this new portfolio of Finance, HR and Payroll IT systems/applications and services (mixture of on-premise and SAAS), and will be the main IT lead on the projects. Once each system is live, you will work within the IT Service Delivery team and proactively engage with users to resolve technical issues and deliver further enhancements. You will also work closely with the IT Development team and the Business Change team to ensure a smooth transition for users when major change is delivered.
The successful IT Application Analyst candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing technical user support, either directly or via the agreed external support service
- Developing system and configuration documentation for each application
- Ensuring information security controls are maintained
- Liaising with relevant technology partners
- Ensuring effective system monitoring is in place
- Ensuring data management plans are established and maintained
The successful IT Application Analyst candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience in technical administering Finance, HR and payroll solutions
- Understanding of Finance, HR and payroll processes and working practise
- Experience with SAAS solutions
- Demonstrable experience in owning a portfolio of business systems/application and related services
- Ability to define and implement security controls in both on premise and SaaS environments
- Ability to provide user support
- Ability to capture requirements and deliver system change
- Understanding of ITIL
