SAP PP WM MM
Initial assessment phase will serve to clarify the scope of the development, identify the potential ABAP development needs, setup the environments, define the testing and deployment processes, refine the time estimations and identify the interface definition requiring clarification and more documentations.
Phase 2 - Interface realization. It includes the following activities for each interface:
- Functional Specification: Clear documentation of the content of the message and the related business rules
insuring to the right execution of the interface between the two systems.
- Technical Specification: Clear design of how the interface will be developed (it includes the field mapping, ...)
- Interface Development: Including the coding of business rules in SAP and the exchange table declaration.
- Preparation of the Unit Testing: Documentation of the different test scenarios to proof.
- Unit Testing of the interface: Execution of the test cases and correction of non-conformities.
- Integrated testing: This step will require the participation of MES and SAP analysts in order to generate sets
of data and validate the reception.
Phase 3 - Go Live:
Deployment in production will be completed by groups of interfaces.
The definition of the grouping of the interface will be define during the initial assessment.
This grouping will be driven by the MES
project milestones in order to start the interfaces concurrently with their associated module(s) in MES
Phase 4 - Hypercare will secure the go live of the interface. It includes monitoring and remaining small
non-conformity correction and support to the operational team receptioning the MES.
